I asked myself what would a “better me” consist of? Would it be based on just physical appearance or would it be more than that? Well, the answer is it would be more than physical appearance. Of course I know I could stand to lose some pounds LOL! Being a better me is more about my emotional state and where I am spiritually.
Vision boards have become a thing in the past few years. I created one in the past and I as I went back and reflected on it, for some reason I did not revisit the board as I probably should have and therefore some of my visions were left “on the board.” So this time instead of creating a vision board, I simply created a list of things I wanted to accomplish. I started off we wanting to be a better me by living a healthier lifestyle. My dear friend has truly motivated me. To make the situation even better, I shared my goal with my teenage son. He is a great accountability partner. I am only two weeks in and he is so encouraging. He praises me for getting up early walking in the neighborhood before we go to work. I need this!! My health journey is not about dieting. I just want to exercise and eat healthier. I feel better already. I am not going to spend time getting on the scales everyday. I will do checkins with myself maybe every 2-3 weeks as it relates to weight because that is not my primary focus. I will be sure to keep you all posted. I want to evaluate the “better me” phase at the end of the year. Let’s see what the remainder of 2020 has to offer.
Thanks for posting all your workout progress.. I started my health journey August 3. I am missing my accountability partner (he is gone on military duty ) I’m trying my best to also have positive energy and make health eating choices during this COVID19. So far I’m happy with the results and how well my body is feeling. Thanks for the encouraging post.
